Fender Precision Bass Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar (1957)Just Arrived!
Fender Precision Bass Model Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar (1957), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 023481, Salmon pink re- finish, alder body, maple neck, tweed hard shell case.
A great player, this late 1957 (probably sold in early '58) Precision sports a very old, thin salmon pink/fiesta red refinish that oozes '50's charm. A very light, responsive and clear-sounding bass with the earliest "Raised A" version of the then-new split Precision pickup. A joy to play and hear, this is one of the nicest playing Fender basses we have seen in a while! Overall length is 45 7/8 in. (116.5 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 34 in. (864 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). Old refinish in a light Fiesta red/Salmon pink; neck has a very light overspray over original lacquer. Original pickup and electronics (pots dated 48th week of 1957) Overall Very Good + Condition.
