Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (2019), made in Nashville, TN, serial # 124290062, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, mahogany body with maple cap, laminated maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown tolex hard shell case.

This very recent guitar is a close (though not historically exact) re-issue of a 1959 Les Paul standard, a welcome return for Gibson at offering a quality "burst" at a more generally affordable price. Gibson describes this model as "A Classic, Reborn The new Les Paul Standard returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played and loved". The Les Paul Standard 50's has a solid mahogany body with a subtly flamed maple top, a rounded 50's-style mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays. Hardware includes an ABR-1 classic Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum stop bar tailpiece, vintage deluxe tuners with keystone buttons and aged gold top hat knobs. The Burstbucker 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) pickups are loaded with AlNiCo II magnets, wired to audio taper potentiometers and orange drop capacitors. This instrument is a nice example of good things coming from Gibson's recent management change, and a very fine instrument particularly at this price point.

Overall length is 39 3/8 in. (100 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.).

This guitar appears just very lightly used, completely stock and unaltered except for Schaller strap locks. It shows a few signs of play including some very light handling wear, a small ding near volume pot, and another small ding at top of headstock. It is lighter than many older models at just over 9 Lbs., an excellent player complete in a nice TKL brown HSC with a dollop of original paperwork. Excellent + Condition.
