Fender Princeton Reverb Model Tube Amplifier (1966), made in Fullerton, California, serial # A-10366, black tolex covering finish.

Height is 16 in. (40.6 cm.), 20 in. (50.8 cm.) width, and 9 1/4 in. (23.5 cm.) deep.

This is a very well preserved example of one of the hottest amps going today, vintage or modern, the black-panel Fender Princeton Reverb. The combination of clean, crunch and natural overdrive this model offers perfectly suits the modern world's lower volume requirements, and they always sound great in any context.

This nicely original early-CBS era amp has a tube chart code PE designating assembly in May 1966. Externally, the amp is in very good shape cosmetically, with only some very minimal wear/dirt to the Tolex and a couple minor tears to the cabinet corners. The handle hardware and chassis straps are free of any significant corrosion and the faceplate is very clean with the graphics undisturbed. The grill cloth is in immaculate shape for its age with no notable wear.

Electrically, the amp is all original. All transformers are original and dated to early 1966; the power transformer is coded to the 2nd week, the output transformer to the 1st week and the reverb transformer to the 3rd week. The speaker the original Jensen C10N, dating to the 41st week of 1965 (220-541). All pots date to 1965 or early 1966. The reverb tank is original and has the signature bright and metallic, yet lush and airy Accutronics sound.

The amp has received routine maintenance, including adding a 3-prong grounded power cord, cleaning of all sockets, pots and jacks, power tubes biased to spec and replacement of all electrolytic caps, including the filter cap can. All the original blue Astron signal capacitors are still well and intact. The amp also retains the original footswitch and comes with a modern Fender slip-cover.

This is a great sounding and growly Princeton Reverb; this is a lovely example of our single most popular amplifier in fine gigging and/or recording condition. Once again we hail the mighty Princeton, in any configuration one of Leo Fender's more modest but universally lovable creations! Overall Excellent Condition.
