Gibson ES-335 DOT Model Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1990), made in Nashville, TN, black lacquer finish, laminated maple body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown tolex hard shell case.

Overall length is 41 3/8 in. (105.1 cm.), 15 15/16 in. (40.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

This guitar has been played a bit but remainis all original and generally well-cared for. It shows minor wear to the finish, just some small dings, scuffs, dents and scrapes. There are a few shallow dents in the back of the neck that do not go through the finish, and some belt-buckle scuffing on the back. The nickel plating has a decent amount of actual wear and some corrosion, not from artificial relicing but actual use and has an authentically aged look to it. This is most noticeable on the pickup covers.

The tuners are Grovers, otherwise the hardware is a very accurate reproduction of the original 1959 style, including Gibson's PAF repros from this period. This is a very striking looking guitar in this relatively rare black finish, it is stamped "EBONY" under the neck pickup and date stamped under the treble pickup. This 335 feels nicely broken-in with 31 years (ouch -- now we feel old!) under its belt already. An excellent player with a slightly chunkier version of the fairly slim, flat profile 1960-style neck and original frets still in excellent shape. Includes the original deluxe brown Tolex HSC with some external wear. Excellent Condition.
