Fender Telecaster American Vintage '52 Re-Issue Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (2004), made in Corona, CA, serial # 48467, blonde finish, ash body, maple neck, original tweed hard shell case.

Overall length is 38 5/8 in. (98.1 cm.), 12 5/8 in. (32.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

This guitar is a very nice 2000s Fender rendition of the early "Black guard", Telecaster, as produced between 1951 and 1954. It has been recently fitted with a new re-issue Fender neck due to a truss rod failure of the original 2004 piece. Other than that it is original to 2004 and little played since.

This re-issue of that now extremely sought-after original Tele variant is fairly authentic overall with a butterscotch blonde finish on the ash body, fairly chunky one-piece maple neck and vintage-style frets. Other correct period details include slot-head screws, a single layer black pickguard, and brass saddles. It is even wired to the archaic 1952 style with a large bass cap in the neck position; you can only blend the pickups by balancing the switch between settings #2 and #3.

This guitar has been used but shows very little wear, just some light scuffing and denting. The later neck is unused. It comes complete in the original G&G case with a the Fender COA (dated 2004) strap, cord and a passel of paperwork. This is a great sounding and playing Tele, a nice example of one of the more accurate and affordable Fender re-issues. Excellent + Condition.
