Ibanez FL9 Owned and Used by Tom Verlaine Model Flanger Effect (1983), made in Japan, serial # 316322, yellow enamel finish.

The FL-9 is another beloved offering from the Ibanez, the Japanese musical equipment giant, sharing a familiar enclosure to the TS9 and its famous older sister the TS808 but in a coat of spiffy yellow paint. It's a fairly straightforward but impressively lush Flanger with four unfussy knobs (Speed, Regeneration, Width, and Delay Time) to sculpt the waveshape and severity of the flange. Flange is an effect that can quickly veer out of control; the Speed and Regen knobs can be dialed back to achieve a tasteful and subtle flange, but dimed can be used to conjure all manner of warped and almost ring-modulated sounds. This particular example spent a fair chunk of its life on the live pedalboard of Television's Tom Verlaine.

Height is 4 3/4 in. (12.1 cm.), 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) width, and 2 in. (5.1 cm.) in depth at deepest point. STAGE USED all original great condition tom tape

This stage-used pedal is in fully functional condition with trace amounts of cosmetic wear from accompanying Mr. Verlaine on stage through the years. The stickers on the back, as well as the battery cavity cover and all knobs are all firmly in tact; the original Maxon circuit inside is entirely functional and unaltered. This pedal does not come with a box, but it does come with a letter of authenticity signed by Patrick Derivaz, Verlaine's close friend and long time musical collaborator from whom we received the pedal. Excellent Condition.
