Fender Jazzmaster '62 Factory Special Run Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (2007), made in Fullerton, California, serial # SE05398, Sea Foam Green Thin-Skin lacquer finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown tolex hard shell case.

This particularly eye-catching '62 Jazzmaster "Thin Skin" Reissue is one of the Fender factory's better offerings of the mid 2000's era aside from the Custom Shop. It is a take on a 1962 Jazzmaster with a blend of vintage and contemporary appointments in with a "thin skin" thinner nitrocellulose lacquer Sea Foam finish, a color one would pay heartily for after an arduous search in the vintage market. It has a matching headstock, retro decal, and a slab board rosewood fingerboard like what a Jazzmaster would have had until 1962.

The neck is a single piece maple neck bolted into a lacquered alder body. While these come stock with a Fender bridge, the previous owner here opted for the popular upgrade of a drop-in Mastery bridge. The frets are somewhat larger than vintage spec with a more modern 9.5" radius and slim C-shape profile, and the pickups are vintage-styled single coils handwound in the Fender Factory. It would be nice if we could all get our hands on a "real" Sea Foam Green slab board Jazzmaster, but until one crosses your path there is plenty to enjoy about this playful reissue.

Overall length is 41 in. (104.1 cm.), 14 in. (35.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.).

This is a generally clean and original well-playing guitar from one of Fender's more popular limited runs of the era in an eye-catching coat of paint. The guitar is entirely stock and unmodified but for the addition of a Mastery bridge, a familiar sight for any offset lover. Mastery bridges drop in and out without any drilling or issue at all and the original bridge and bridge cover are resting in the case should anyone wish to restore the guitar to all-original condition.

The Sea Foam Green lacquer is vivid with minimal wear on the face, and the only real show of wear on the guitar is a bit of discoloration on the back likely from resting in the case with a strap. The electronics are untouched, sounding and working as they should. It comes with its original Brown Tolex case including hang tags and paperwork, a dated certificate of authenticity from Fender, and a pair of optional "Limited Edition" neckplates. Overall Excellent - Condition.
