Classical Guitar, labeled Federico Garcia (1967), made in Spain, natural finish, laminated African mohagany back and sides, laminated spruce top, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, black hard shell case.

Overall length is 40 in. (101.6 cm.), 15 in. (38.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 3/4 in. (9.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 26 in. (660 mm.). Width of nut is 2 1/4 in. (57 mm.).

This nicely made student or knock-around classical guitar was imported to the US in the 1960s, just before the wave of inexpensive guitars from Japan took over the student classical market. The label reads "Fabrica De Guitarras Federico Garcia Exclusivas Distribuidores Antigua Casa Sherry-Brener, LTD. 1901 MADRID 1967". The "67" is handwritten in ink and somewhat smudged.

It is of 3-ply laminated construction and shows some handling marks and general aging but little actual play wear. There are no structural issues or repairs; the only notable defect is one big ding into the back edge on the lower bass bout with a bit of wood chipped out. The guitar plays well with a warmer sound than one might expect and is a nice example from this period, complete in a later HSC. Overall Excellent Condition.
