Jose Ramirez Classical Guitar (1969), made in Madrid, Spain
Madrid, serial # 3.678, natural finish, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, spruce top, original black hard shell case.
Overall length is 39 9/16 in. (100.5 cm.), 14 1/2 in. (36.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 3/8 in. (11.1 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 26 1/8 in. (664 mm.). Width of nut is 2 in. (51 mm.).

This beautiful Ramirez shows some general wear but has not been heavily played over the last 50 years. There are some dings, dents, and scrapes, mostly to the top with nail marks above and below the strings and re-stringing marks by the bridge. There is a small cleanly sealed grain crack to the back and the top center seam has been resealed as well. The rest of the guitar is very clean. The heel block bears the personal stamp of Ignacio Manzano Rojas, one of the most respected builders employed at the Ramirez shop at the time and a very well-regarded independent builder in later years. This is a very fine-sounding instrument, well-seasoned but never abused, still in a very clean original HSC. Excellent Condition.
