C. F. Martin D-12-20 Model 12 String Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1971), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 277527, natural lacquer finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, black chipboard case.

Overall length is 41 7/16 in. (105.2 cm.), 15 5/8 in. (39.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 15/16 in. (12.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.). Width of nut is 1 7/8 in. (48 mm.).

This guitar shows some light wear overall but is very clean overall and does not appear much played. There are some repaired grain cracks to the top; two behind the bridge running to the back edge, one running from the front edge of the bridge to the sound hole rim, and several small splits on the top edge of the pickguard and sound hole rim under the fingerboard. All are neatly sealed up with no added finish.

There are two somewhat inexplicable dinks through the finish on the upper treble bout, but virtually no pickwear or other deep marks. The pickguard is replaced (the original is still in the case pocket, curled up like a Pringle), but everything else on the guitar is original. With a recent neck set and refret this is an excellent-playing guitar, still in the original 1971 yellow-lined chipboard case. Overall Excellent - Condition.
