The "brown" Deluxe is a classic early '60s Fender, one of the shop favorites here. This example is in fine original condition with relatively little wear. The tube chart code is MB, indicating assembly in February 1963, and all major components remain original. The transformer codes are 606 208 and 606 236, both dating to 1962. The speaker is an Oxford date coded to the 48th week of 1962. The handle is a superb high quality repro by Bob Brookwood; there is some light corrosion to the cabinet straps and handle mounts.

Internally the amp has been fitted with a 3-prong grounded cord and had a light cap job. We recently cleaned the tube sockets, but the amp required no other work. This is a superb example of this great-sounding Fender, far better preserved than many. Loud enough for most modern gigging situations but small enough for recording purposes, the brown Deluxe has a real signature sound with a smooth overdrive curve suitable to many applications. Excellent Condition.
