Rickenbacker Model 330 Capri Model Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1959), made in Los Angeles, California, serial # 2T414, Fireglo red sunburst finish, maple body, laminated maple neck with padouk fingerboard, original grey hard shell case.

Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 15 in. (38.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 in. (5.1 cm.) in depth at side. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

This splendid example of an early Rickenbacker Capri is in fine original condition overall -- there is some definite playwear but no alterations or serious repair. The fingerboard shows divoting in the first position and the frets are low but functional. We would be happy to refret this one to order, but the guitar is certainly playable as is and we prefer to leave it in original condition unless requested otherwise.

There is some wear to the edges of the body and neck, small dings and chips, and some light checking, but the Fireglo finish overall is bright and vibrant with very little fade. This is a fantastic-playing guitar with a big chunky neck (for a Rickenbacker) and an excellent neck angle, usually the sore point of these early Capris. All the hardware and electronics are original (some of it has a very handmade look) and the wiring still retains the "bleed" cap on the lead pickup, which thins the sound somewhat. Some players routinely prefer to remove this, but again, we have elected to not make any alterations to this beautifully original instrument. This is one of the coolest original Rickenbackers we have ever had, with a definite vibe about it. The original greenish/grey case is still intact, in well-used but very solid condition. Excellent - Condition.
