This guitar is a very nice Fender custom Shop rendition of the early "Nocaster", the guitar produced in 1951 between the Broadcaster and Telecaster iterations. Early that year Gretsch notified Fender they held a trademark on the "Broadkaster" tradename, so Leo (never a man to waste anything) had the headstock decals cut down so they read simply "Fender". This was a short-lived expedient and the originals are extremely rare.

This relic re-issue of that short-lived Tele variant is quite authentic overall, light at 6 lbs 10 oz with a very chunky "baseball bat" neck profile, 7.25" radius, and vintage-style frets. Other period details include slot-head screws, a single layer black pickguard, and brass saddles. It is wired to the "modern" standard switching scheme, not the archaic 1951 style with a large bass cap in the neck position. The guitar has "light relic" simulated wear but does not appear to have been actually played much since new. Comes in a nice re-issue center pocket tweed case with a complete package of original case candy including the COA from the Fender Custom Shop. Near Mint Condition.
