DeArmond FH-C Guitar Mike Model Archtop Guitar Pickup (1960s), made in Toledo, Ohio, gold plated finish.

Overall length is 9 7/8 in. (25.1 cm.), 5 1/2 in. (14 cm.) across at the widest point.

This is a good example overall of the rare gold plated version of the Model FH-C, the original DeArmond pickup first offered in 1940. The gold version was originally rather more expensive and thus now fairly rare, but it really harmonizes with the plating on the higher end archtops it would often be fitted to. This example has all original components but looks to have been re-worked; the pickup and mounting hardware are plated in gold, while the control box is chrome. Most likely the parts were wired together from two different units long ago. There is some wear to the gold on top of the coil from being strummed over, but it would still look great on your vintage D'Angelico, Super 400 or Emperor. It includes a newer high-quality cable and sounds great as they all do! Very Good + Condition.
