Epiphone Wilshire SB-232 62 Re-Issue Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (2009), made in Nashville, TN, serial # 901202, white lacquer finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, original black tolex hard shell case.

Overall length is 37 1/2 in. (95.2 cm.), 13 1/4 in. (33.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm.) deep. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

This gleaming white Wilshire is one of a limited edition done by Gibson's Nashville Custom Shop in 2009, one of the few US-made Epiphones of the past 4 decades. This was a strictly limited run of 200; half in white, half in cherry. White examples like this are much harder to find now, 10 years on. The Wilshire is a faithful re-creation of the rare 1962 P-90 equipped original with a solid Peruvian Mahogany body and neck and Madagascar Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlay. It has the same layout as the original 1962 model with a double-sided headstock, two black-covered P-90 pickups, tortoise plastic pickguard, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, and stop tailpiece.

This example looks practically brand new, appearing hardly played or even out of the case. It is absolutely original and complete in the original deluxe HSC including a large amount of case candy: deluxe leather strap, curly cord, COA, loads of hangtags and sundry paperwork, and even a commemorative T-shirt. These were only produced in 2009 and were a very expensive guitar when new, absolutely one of the finest things to bear the Epiphone name since 1969.

The sound is delightful as well, quite bright for a P-90 guitar but very rip-roaring SG territory when pushed. This guitar feels equally light and handy but somewhat more substantial than its Gibson SG Special cousin. One of the coolest of Nashville re-issues, and an already rare piece 10 years on. Near Mint Condition.
