Gibson ES-330 Model Thinline Hollow Body Electric Guitar (2018), made in Memphis, Tennessee, serial # 13257700, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, laminated maple body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, original brown tolex hard shell case.

This is a very nice modern/vintage ES-330 from Gibson's now sadly closed Memphis factory. These re-engineered ES-330s were designed to combine the classic 1960s model's best features with a few more modern details to make them accurate but as player-friendly as possible. The "Sunset Burst" finish is applied both back and front, unlike the original '60s models that had a plain dark back. The neck is the traditional quarter sawn mahogany with the 1960s rounded "C" profile, with as a special touch the authentic rolled binding edge. This is a discreet feature that many modern re-issues miss, but it makes a big difference in capturing a vintage feel and enhancing playability.

Some discreet modern enhancements include an ABR-1 bridge with titanium saddles and a hand-wired MTC control assembly hand-wired with ceramic capacitors paired to MHS P-90 pickups with hum-canceling capabilities. These are versatile pickups offering all the expected midrange purr and growl with a medium output, but put into overdrive will yield the classic P-90 raunch. Vintage Kluson-style white oval button tuners and thinline trapeze tailpiece maintain the classic 330 look and balance.

Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 16 in. (40.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

This 330 shows just some light wear and scuffing overall but plays fine and sounds exactly as it should. It resides in the original brown HSC with paperwork, a fine testament to the excellent work of the Memphis crew Gibson recently disbanded. Overall Excellent + Condition.
