Fender Vibro-Champ AA-764 Model Tube Amplifier (1965), made in Fullerton, California, serial # A-03324, black tolex covering finish.

Height is 14 in. (35.6 cm.), 17 in. (43.2 cm.) width, and 7 in. (17.8 cm.) deep.

This little blackface beauty is mostly original and quite clean overall, with some light wear overall. The black Tolex is nicely intact with some light scuffing and wear. There some corrosion to the chassis straps and some minor spots on the handle mounts. The faceplate is very clean with minimal scuffing and the graphics are all intact.

The tube chart is stamped "OB", indicating assembly in February 1965. The speaker has been replaced with a great sounding newer Jensen P8R, considered by many to be a notable sonic upgrade from the stock (very cheap) Oxford speaker. Both power and output transformers are the original Schumachers and date to 1964, reading 606-4-39 and 606-4-45, respectively. Most of the pots date to late '64 and one to early '65.

The amp has been professionally serviced, including our standard replacement of all electrolytic capacitors and leaky coupling caps, removal of "death" cap and a three-prong power cord installed. Apart from the speaker replacement, the upper back panel is also long gone. The amp otherwise remains fully original and a stellar-sounding example of a pre-CBS Vibro-Champ with a strong output and a nice growly sound when cranked! Overall Excellent Condition.
