C. F. Martin 000-28 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1975), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 354704, natural lacquer finish, rosewood back and sides, spruce top, mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, original molded blue plastic hard shell case.

Overall length is 39 7/8 in. (101.3 cm.), 15 in. (38.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/16 in. (10.3 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

This guitar was made in early 1975, one of 256 000-28's shipped that year, compared to nearly 5000 D-28's! It remains very clean overall with some minimal wear and no alterations except an added strap button at the heel. The original black pickguard has been replaced; the original shrunken acetate one is still in the case pocket, now shaped like a potato chip. There is one tiny repaired spruce grain crack at the south edge of the guard from the old one shrinking up, but no other visible repair work. The finish shows some light checking overall, mostly on the top but very actual little play wear. This 45 year old rosewood 000 is a very nice player with a big, warm sound, really a much better guitar than many '70s Martins by reputation are supposed to. It includes the very clean old-style blue-lined OHSC. Overall Excellent + Condition.
