Weber Absaroka Model Carved Top Mandolin (2005), made in Logan, Montana, serial # 5169903, sunburst lacquer finish, maple back, sides and neck, Sitka spruce top, ebony fingerboard, original grey hard shell case.

Overall length is 27 in. (68.6 cm.), 10 1/16 in. (25.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 14 in. (356 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/8 in. (29 mm.).

This A-style, F-hole Weber is a great-sounding modern (well, modern for us!) mandolin, a really good instrument of this type. Weber mandolins are currently not in production, so now can only be found as used instruments. This one dates to 2005 and appears to have net been played much since new, showing very little finish wear. With a bit of remedial fretwork done this is a very fine playing A/F hybrid -style mandolin with a powerful sound, cutting but never thin. It includes the original case with the Weber paperwork and tools. Excellent + Condition.
