Regal Soprano Ukulele (1920s), made in Chicago, natural lacquer finish, mahogany body, poplar neck with rosewood fingerboard, black gig bag case.

This unassuming but solidly made mahogany uke is typical of 1920s Regal product, likely an older example as it is fitted with wooden violin-style pegs instead of friction tuners. It is very plain but lightly built and so better sounding than many of the later ukes from this generally budget-minded maker.

Overall length is 20 7/8 in. (53 cm.), 6 3/4 in. (17.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 3/8 in. (6 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 13 1/4 in. (337 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/4 in. (32 mm.).

This uke remains all original including the wooden tuning pegs, showing some generally light wear overall. There is scuffing and some dings and dents overall with heavier scratching to the back, but no really serious wear. The bridge has been reglued visibly, but there is no other damage or repair. The uke plays well with a sweet sound. It includes a modern gig bag. Excellent - Condition.
