Pep Leader Model Soprano Ukulele, made by Harmony, c. 1930, made in Chicago, green lacquer with decals finish, birch body, poplar neck, black gig bag case.

Overall length is 20 3/4 in. (52.7 cm.), 6 1/2 in. (16.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 13 in. (330 mm.). Width of nut is 1 7/16 in. (36 mm.).

The colorful "Pep Leader' ukulele is a budget Harmony classic, one of their more popular depression-era designs. The birch body and poplar neck are finished in a sort of blue/green sunburst, with a pearloid fingerboard. Most surfaces are festooned with decals of collegiate banners with a central stadium theme on the face. This example has general deterioration and a lot of flaking away to most of these, resulting in a rather more abstract look! Some back/sides seams have been visibly reglued but the instrument is all original and solid, and plays as well as these ever do. A later gig bag is included. Overall Very Good + Condition.
