This is a fairly clean and original end-of-the-1970s Fender Musicmaster bass in a rarer-than-some red and black livery. This was the Fender company's most "bass-ic" 4-string instrument for the decade, and a great first bass for many aspiring players then and since. This one shows only some light wear on the body with dings, dents and scuffing mostly into but not through the finish. There is a repaired crack on the pickguard below the volume control, and the rear corner is neatly patched at the jack area.

The neck finish, fingerboard and frets are relatively clean except for a few minor dings and dents. The bass appears all original and plays and sounds as it should, still one of the solidest and best beginner's basses ever made. With its 30" short-scale neck the Musicmaster remains a very comfortable 4-string for beginners but still quite suitable for live and recording situations despite its budget origin. Very Good + Condition.
