Jorge Menezes Hermann Hauser Style Model Classical Guitar (2023), made in San Paolo, Brazil, serial # 106, French polish top, polyurethane varnish back and sides finish, German spruce top, repurposed Brazilian jacaranda back and sides, ebony fingerboard, Brazilian jacaranda bridge, Brazilian pink cedar neck, black hard shell case.

This fine sounding modern concert guitar was completed in July 2023 by Luthier Jorge Luis De Pavia Menezes of Sao Paulo, Brazil. It is built with 20 year old German spruce for the top and recovered Brazilian Jacaranda wood for the back and sides. The neck is Brazilian pink cedar with an ebony fingerboard. The rosette is Jorge Menezes own pattern and the guitar is fitted out with De Jung tuners. The top is finished in a very thin French polish, the back and sides in a harder wearing Polyurethane varnish. Menezes says of this guitar: ": "Built according to the blueprint and notes of the great luthier Hermann Hauser, blueprint from 1937, giving my best for a guitar that approximates the sound of the original guitars and having my own identity in its physical aspect." It is indeed a lovely sounding instrument, ready to be seriously played to bring the sound to full flower.

Overall length is 38 1/2 in. (97.8 cm.), 14 1/8 in. (35.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 15/16 in. (10 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 2 1/16 in. (52 mm.).
