Jose Ramirez Estudio 4E Model Classical Guitar (2000), made in Madrid, Spain
Madrid, natural lacquer finish, Indian rosewood back and sides, Canadian cedar top; Honduran cedar neck with ebony fingerboard, original hard shell case.

This Jose Ramirez 4E Classical Guitar was built in Madrid in 2000. The 4E is the top of the Ramirez E-line, a higher end student grade instrument made by hand with solid materials and hand-inlaid purfling, marquetry, and rosette detailing. The top is solid Canadian Red Cedar, the back and sides care solid East Indian Rosewood. The neck is Spanish Cedar with an ebony reinforcement in the center, a heavy ebony fingerboard and a bone nut. The solid East Indian Rosewood bridge has a bone saddle.

This is an excellent instrument for the intermediate or advanced student guitar player, but is fitted with a fishman internal microphone and pre-amp system making it a perfect stage guitar for the non-classical player as well. This is the most refined of the Ramirez student guitars, an excellent stage or studio nylon-string for any style of play.

Overall length is 39 1/4 in. (99.7 cm.), 14 3/4 in. (37.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/4 in. (10.8 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 7/8 in. (657 mm.). Width of nut is 2 in. (51 mm.).

This is for the most part a very clean instrument showing only minor handling and play wear with a few small dings and dents overall, with the only notable wear some more noticeable scratching to the back. The mic/preamp installation is very professionally done with an added endpin jack. To the possible horror of a dedicated classical player, there is a pick holder affixed to the back of the headstock which could be removed if desired. Playability and sound are excellent for its price class and this is a lovely all-around Nylon string instrument, in the original HSC. Overall Excellent Condition.
