Electro-Harmonix Polyphase Model Phaser Effect (1979), made in New York, NY.

Electro-Harmonix's Polyphase effect is a unique, photoreactive transistor-based and envelope controlled phaser. The pedal has several controls for the 6-stage photoreactor-based phaser; with a switch on the back to toggle between envelope and sweep modes, there are 5 knobs to control the rate and intensity of the signal, LFO frequency speed, and more. There's also the additional option of a wet and dry output. Between the two modes, tones can range from vast sweeping phases to sharper, more reactive, gated envelopes.

Height is 6 3/4 in. (17.1 cm.), 7 7/8 in. (20 cm.) width, and 2 in. (5.1 cm.) in depth at deepest point.

This particular Poly Phase comes to us well-played cosemetically but all original right down to the power cable and lack of accomodation (as many vintage pedals have) for a modern 9V adapter. It does not come with the original box. The circuit within, including the photosensitive components, is original and working as it should; we can just barely eke out the '79 date codes on the pots. The lush phasing is a wonderful studio tool or works just as well on the stage floor if you have the real estate on your pedalboard for these old EHX enclosures. One mismatched backplate screw. Very Good Condition.
