Magnatone Varsity Reverb Model Tube Amplifier, c. 2013, made in Anaheim, CA, serial # 000521, Burgundy Croc Tolex finish.
Here's a rather uncommonly new but nicely vintage-inspired addition to our showroom; a 2013 Magnatone Varsity Reverb. Made by the modern iteration of the brand, which resurrected the classic amp company in 2012, offering handmade, point-to-point recreations inspired by many of the classic models of the 50s and 60s.
The Varsity Reverb model features a dual-EL84 push-pull power section and a GZ34 rectifier, yielding around 15 watts into a single 12" Magnatone-branded speaker. In addition to tube-driven reverb, the amp also features a negative feedback switch as well as a line out and external speaker connection. There's also a footswitch connection for switching the negative feedback and reverb.
Height is 18 1/2 in. (47 cm.), 21 in. (53.3 cm.) width, and 9 1/2 in. (24.1 cm.) deep.
Cosmetically, this little amp is in truly outstanding shape. Save for a few VERY minor scuffs, the covering is pristine, as is the grille cloth and control panel. The amp does not come with a footswitch. Electrically, the amp remains stock and unaltered. It has received our routine inspection and tests wonderfully. Excellent + Condition.
