Gibson ES-335 Dot Cherry Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (2020)
Gibson ES-335 Dot Cherry Model Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (2020), made in Nashville, TN, serial # 222000036, cherry lacquer finish, laminated maple body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown tolex hard shell case.
Gibson's ES-335 DOT is the long-standing backbone of the company's semi-solid ES line-up. This Gibson ES-335 is reminiscent of an early 1960s original in the then-new vibrant cherry finish that became the model's trademark look. The namesake bound, dot inlaid rosewood fingerboard sits on a hand-rolled rounded deep "C" profile mahogany neck, more akin to a favorite 1959 pattern than the typical flat early '60s style. Gibson's T-Type humbucking pickups are paired with the classic 4-knob, one switch hand-wired control assembly. The headstock is fitted with "Vintage Deluxe" tuners with keystone buttons, the strings continuing on to a light weight Aluminum ABR-1 bridge and stop tailpiece anchored by steel thumb-wheels and tailpiece studs. This is a lovely modern 335 with a real vintage feel. A timeless classic suited to just about any style of play.
Overall length is 41 1/2 in. (105.4 cm.), 16 1/4 in. (41.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).
This guitar presents as basically new with only some very slight handling wear, most notable pick scuffing on the pickguard. It is an excellent player and includes the clean original hard case and paperwork, with the inspection card noting it was shipped from Gibson August 20, 2020. Excellent + Condition.
