Klos Carbon Fiber Model Arch Top Mandolin (2025), made in Provo, Utah, serial # 164894, natural finish, carbon fiber, composite ebony fingerboard, original molded Fiberglass hard shell case.
The KLOS mandolin is a newly engineered "post space age" instrument. This carbon-fiber A-style mandolin is exceptionally durable and stable, with unmatched resistance to temperature and humidity making for an excellent travel instrument. The carbon fiber body and neck are designed for maximum stability and clarity, but have a really unique look as well. These are built in in various configurations; this is the fully acoustic-electric model equipped with a built-in pickup and even includes an integral digital tuner! These instruments are processed on a PLEK machine for precise fretwork and offer comfortable playability and a surprisingly deep, resonant sound.
The gloss finish, ebony floating bridge and composite ebony fretboard combine to create a modern yet classic feel, complemented by a GraphTech NuBone nut, Klos Gold Featherlite Pro tuners with black buttons and stainless steel frets. This A-Style Mandolin has the Klos Mandolin EQ Preamp with the control panel built into the upper side. This is certainly a striking instrument visually and we will admit to being surprised at the very full tone this very unusual mandolin offers.
Overall length is 27 in. (68.6 cm.), 10 1/8 in. (25.7 cm.) across at the widest point, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 13 7/8 in. (352 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/8 in. (29 mm.).
This instrument is in new, unsold condition set up for maximum playability complete in a carbon fiber travel case. Near Mint Condition.
