Harmony H8031 Model Flat Back Mandolin, c. 1970, made in Chicago, serial # 01905, sunburst lacquer finish, birch body, poplar neck, ebonized fingerboard, black chipboard case.
Overall length is 23 3/4 in. (60.3 cm.), 9 1/2 in. (24.1 cm.) across at the widest point, and 2 3/4 in. (7 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 13 in. (330 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/4 in. (32 mm.). Super clean, hardly any wear-for what was a fairly inexpensive instrument originally this is a surprizingly nice sounding and playing mandolin. Despite its humble appearance, this is still an excellent beginner's or general knock-around mandolin and a fine value in a 40+ year old solid wood instrument. Excellent + Condition.
