Fender Telecaster Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1978), made in Fullerton, California, serial # S831848, black polyester finish, ash body, maple neck, black hard shell case.

Overall length is 38 5/8 in. (98.1 cm.), 12 5/8 in. (32.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.).

This is a fairly clean guitar overall, showing some playwear with scuffing to the finish, pickguard, and some of the hardware. There are a few areas of the weird-looking (but typical) wear to the color coat with the poly still intact, notably in the armwear area.

The instrument appears original except for a newer but accurate-looking WD 3-ply white pickguard (the original was likely black) and a newer black plastic nut. There are some light marks in the finish around the bridge area where it looks like perhaps a different bridge was mounted at some point, but the original 3-way bridge is on now. The pickups, pots (from the 33rd week of 1978), and wiring are original with some joints re-done.

As is typical for the late '70s, this one is fairly heavy at 10 lbs. 14 oz., but it remains a good-playing and sounding '70s Telecaster. Excellent - Condition.
