Ampeg B-15N Bass Model Tube Amplifier (1964), made in Linden NJ, blue checked Tolex finish.
Height is 29 in. (73.7 cm.), 21 in. (53.3 cm.) width, and 13 3/4 in. (34.9 cm.) deep. Overall this is well-preserved example of the all-time classic recording bass amp, Ampeg's B-15N. We see many period B-15s, but most have seen fairly heavy use and show more wear and often modifications. Internally this amp shows some recent cap work, and a 3-prong grounded plug installed. The only major alteration Is an Altec/Lansing speaker from the 1970's, which adds a bit of headroom and really firms up the low end. Externally there is some typical dirt and light wear to the signature blue check Tolex but only a couple of small tears. The original transport dolly is intact. A lovely example overall, and very fine sounding -- tighter than some due to the speaker response. Excellent - Condition.
