Gibson EH-185 Model Tube Amplifier (1940), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, tweed fabric covering finish.

Height is 19 in. (48.3 cm.), 16 1/2 in. (41.9 cm.) width, and 10 in. (25.4 cm.) deep.

This is the nicest example of this amplifier we have had in a long time. The cabinet is solid; the fabric covering is clean and shows only minimal signs of use. Even the somewhat fragile paper and leather handle is intact. It has a new three prong power cord and has had a complete cap job. The power supply capacitors, coupling capacitors, tone capacitors, and cathode bypass capacitors have all been replaced, allowing the amp to operate as designed now 80 years on. Other than that it is all original, with a complete set of original tubes and transformers. This is a fantastic-sounding and historic amplifier, the finest of its type when created. Overall Excellent Condition.
