Fender Deluxe Model 5B3 Model Tube Amplifier (1952), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 6258, tweed fabric covering finish.

Height is 16 1/4 in. (41.3 cm.), 18 in. (45.7 cm.) width, and 8 5/8 in. (21.9 cm.) deep.

This is a fairly early example of a wide-panel tweed Deluxe, one of Fender's all-time classic amplifiers. The amp has seen some use but has survived in fine original condition looking and sounding great. The tube chart carries the serial number but no date code, as Fender did not begin stamping a 2-letter code signifying the production date there until 1953. The original Jensen speaker dates to the 50th week of 1951.The masking tape signature in the chassis is "Eileen" who wired this one up sometime in early 1952.

Externally the tweed shows some wear and light staining mostly to the sides and edges. The control panel and hardware has some light corrosion (mostly around the jacks) and some minimal loss to the graphics but is cleaner than many. Internally the amp has had just some typical service repairs. All electrolytics and some coupling caps were replaced (a typical maintenance cap job) and the cord is a new 3-prong. The tubes are mostly newer, the handle is a replacement. This amp sounds fantastic, with a lot of clarity at lower volumes but it really roars when pushed. Excellent - Condition.
