C. F. Martin D-12-20 Model 12 String Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1965), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 206684, natural lacquer finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black tolex hard shell case.

Overall length is 41 in. (104.1 cm.), 15 5/8 in. (39.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 15/16 in. (12.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 7/8 in. (48 mm.).

This is a very clean, original, and early example of Martin's first production 12-string, the D-12-20. It has some light wear overall but does not show a lot of play time for its 55 years on the planet. The finish overall has some small dings, dents, and scrapes, but there are no large areas of wear. It has recently had a very clean neck reset and fret work, and plays exceptionally well. This is a much nicer and far more responsive guitar than the typical later '60s and '70s examples, a real gem of a Martin 12-string with a big ringing sound. It is still housed in the original blue-lined HSC. Excellent + Condition.
