Gibson SG Standard '61 Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (2019), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, cherry lacquer finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, original brown tolex hard shell case.

This guitar is a nicely done re-issue of the 1961-62 Les Paul/SG standard, lacking only the short-lived "Les Paul" markings of the original. The hardware is correct without being EXACTLY period authentic, but all look and work well together. The neck is just a bit chunkier than most original '61s but retains the fairly flat profile characteristic of this period's SGs. Even the quirky side-to-side trem unit has been re-created in all its eccentric glory. Gibson's "BurstBucker '61" pickups are designed to retain more of the characteristic highs of the original PAFs than many other re-creations, giving this SG a brighter, more fluid sound which still cranks up to raunch easily enough. This is a nice example of Gibson re-engineering its classic instruments for the modern world without losing the original charm.

Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 13 1/4 in. (33.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1/4 in. (3.2 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

This guitar appears hardly played, showing just some light handling marks. It is complete in the original brown case with the strap and paperwork. Near Mint Condition.
