Fender Deluxe 5D3 Model Tube Amplifier (1954), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 3307, tweed fabric covering finish.

Height is 15 3/4 in. (40 cm.), 17 3/4 in. (45.1 cm.) width, and 7 1/2 in. (19 cm.) deep.

This is a stunningly clean example of a 1954 Deluxe, one of Leo Fender's classically toneful electronic creations and a staple piece for countless gigging and recording artists over the last 6 decades. This particular Deluxe is one of the cleanest and most spectacularly preserved examples we have ever seen! The tweed covering shows minimal to barely any wear or distress and the faceplate is mirror clean with all the graphics intact. The grille cloth is flawless and the original handle shows some wear but still has plenty life left in it. The tube chart is stamped DJ, signifying assembly in October 1954 and was impeccably wired by Julia, bearing her handwritten name on the masking tape inside the chassis.

Internally, the amp is completely original, featuring the original power and output transformers, both made by Triad and marked 6452 and 246, respectively. The original Jensen P12R speaker is in outstanding condition and is dated 220 426 (26th week of 1954). The amp has received routine maintenance; replacement of all electrolytics and any coupling caps that were too far gone, as well as cleaning of all sockets, pots and jacks and an added 3-prong grounded power cord. The amp also sports a NOS set of vintage GE tubes, a 5Y3GT rectifier, two 6V6GTA power tubes and two 12AX7 preamp tubes.

As well as looking about as fine as can be, this Deluxe sounds absolutely phenomenal with clear bell-like cleans and a roaring thick overdrive when pushed - everything one would want a wide-panel Deluxe to be, and in collector grade shape! Comes with the original or, at least period cover that appears to have been made by Fender supplier the Victoria Luggage Co. Excellent + Condition.
