Fender Precision Bass PB62 Model Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar (1986), made in Japan, serial # F034050, sunburst lacquer finish, hardwood body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, black gig bag case.

Overall length is 46 in. (116.8 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 34 in. (864 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.).

This is a nice and fairly early example of a 1980's Fender Japan Precision reissue, showing some light wear but no visible repairs or alterations. It's old enough to have accumulated some minor dings and dents, light corrosion to some metal hardware and a even a small "classic" cigarette burn on the headstock! The "Hootnanny" strap button on the back of the headstock has been removed, leaving a screw hole.

This era's Japanese PB-62 is generally accurate to the titular 1962 period specs but features a slimmer 1 5/8" wide nut and lacks the historically correct tug bar, chrome handrest, or bridge cover. This one is relatively light for a Fender bass at 8 1/4 LBS and handles well. This very good playing and sounding "Vintage Reissue" Precision bass is already 35 years old; that's 10 years older than the original 1962 models were when it was made! Includes a nice modern gig bag. Excellent Condition.
