Fender Jazz Bass JB-62 Model Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar (1993), made in Japan, serial # N034986, sunburst finish, hardwood body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, black gig bag case.
Overall length is 46 1/2 in. (118.1 cm.), 14 in. (35.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 34 in. (864 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/2 in. (38 mm.).
This model is a generally accurate older Fender Japan 1962 style Jazz Bass reissue, built without the chrome covers or plastic fingerrest of the original but with the period correct copper ground strip running from the bridge to the rear pickup cavity. The bass shows some light corrosion to the metal parts but looks very little played, with just some minor dings and dents after more than 25 years. The finish shows some light handling wear. These are fine playing and sounding basses, easily the equal of some later and pricier re-issues. It includes a modern gig bag. Excellent + Condition.
