La Michoacana Model Classical Guitar, made by Geronimo Villafan (1956), made in Mexico, natural lacquer finish.
A very nice vintage player's (well above tourist grade) Mexican made guitar.
Fancy marquetry on headstock and soundhole ring, wood bindings, fine quality European tuners; very nice clean workmanship throughout. Elaborate labeling inside, hand dated. Plays very well with a sweet, well rounded tone.
Overall length is 40 in. (101.6 cm.), 14 3/4 in. (37.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 3/4 in. (654 mm.). Width of nut is 2 1/16 in. (52 mm.).
Very fine overall with little wear and no notable repairs; some shrinking/separation to the back binding on the treble side. Excellent Condition.
