Fender Precision Bass Model Solid Body Electric Bass Guitar (1970), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 218319, sunburst finish, alder body, maple neck, gig bag case.

A fine playing maple neck Precision bass from the beginning of the '70's-although the faded sunburst finish on the face almost looks like a '57 two tone! No legible neck date (a faded green stamp is partially visible); the pots are dat-coded 23rd week of 1970 and the pickup carries a date code from the same year. Other typical 1970 features including thin poly body finish, thinner 1 5/8' nut width and longer G string adjustment screw on the bridge. This bass has a rather light body for a CBS era Precision, and is a very comfortable player.

Overall length is 46 in. (116.8 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 34 in. (864 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). Some typical wear-small chips and dings (a couple of prominent chips on the face in the upper bass bout) and a lot of fade to the finish on the front of the body. Some wear to neck and frets but nothing major. All original and complete except chrome handrest, bridge cover and plastic fingerrest have been removed. A good handling bass -a nice player with a cool vibe. Generally Excellent Condition.
